Students will be introduced to Basic SWAT topics and tactics, such as history, team-building and legal issues; room clearing, firearms (handgun and rifle), shield work, less-lethal, armor and chemical agents. This course is hands-on and high intensity; utilizing force-on-force and scenario-based training.

Prepares instructor candidates for certification as a Defensive Tactics Instructor (DT Instructor). This course replaces DAAT and POSC Instructor courses as of January, 2022.

This is the 8-hour transition course to Defensive Tactics for either POSC or DAAT certified instructors.

Designed to provide law enforcement trainers with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach basic recruit officers and certifiable academic students how to safely and effectively operate emergency vehicles during stressful and demanding driving situations.

Designed for the newly selected FTO and FTO Supervisor, and for those FTOs who are in need of a refresher course for Patrol, Detentions and Communications. This five-day course covers all that is needed so the new FTO can assume their new responsibilities immediately after completion of the course. The five-day course will include the following: Key Elements of Successful Field Training Officer Programs, Performance Evaluation, Practicing Evaluation and Documentation and Teaching and Learning. All instruction is re-enforced with Practical Individual/Group Exercises, Videos, Handouts, In-depth Discussions, Role Plays, Power Point Presentations and Demonstration.

Strengthen your skills and improve your performance as a first-level leader. The 'First Level Leadership for Law Enforcement ' is a highly interactive four-part series that provides new and experienced leaders the tools they need to effectively motivate, communicate and direct their teams to meet organization goals and control crisis situations. This course would apply to a broad range of law enforcement agencies.

Prepares Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) certified law enforcement officers to effectively administer and teach the handgun and rifle training program within the 720-hour preparatory law enforcement officer training academy, provide handgun and rifle instruction at an agency level, as well as present the Wisconsin Department of Justice concealed carry training course.
