Covers rules and regulations, airport certification, aircraft and airport familiarization, ARFF safety, ARFF apparatus, PPE, rescue and firefighting procedures, tactical operations, hazardous materials, incident command, airfield communications, extinguishing agents, ARFF tools and equipment, and airport emergency plans to meet NFPA 1003 standards for a Professional Airport Firefighter and FAR 139 requirements. Delivers initial Airport Firefighter training that meets or exceeds the requirements of CAR 323.14 and NFPA 1010 standards. Students will receive classroom training on all topics as well as extensive hands-on training with ARFF Apparatus, hose lines, tools, and search and rescue. Live fire training will include interior hose line attacks, exterior hose lines and turret attack and wheeled dry chemical extinguisher use on spill fires.
Trains students in how to properly inspect, operate and troubleshoot an ARFF Apparatus. Training will also include technical maneuvers, a drivers confidence course, mock response through simulated airfields and city streets/off airfield, apparatus positioning and pump and roll operations, use a high reach extendable turret and use of a piercing tip. Live fire response and extinguishment is included on day 2 and 3 of the course. This 3-day course is designed for Airport Firefighters who drive and operate ARFF Apparatus.
Students will participant in training for Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting related topics. Training may include classroom instruction, hands on training, and/or live fire drills.
Designed to provide training on selected topics required by 14 CFR 139.319 to Airport Firefighters or others with emergency response duties at airports/airfields. Please note that not all eleven topics required under FAR 139.319 can be covered during the training. Any topics not covered during training are the responsibility of the attending department/organization.
Introduces students to the skills and knowledge required for certification to Driver/Operator - ARFF as described in Chapter 9 of NFPA 1002. The course will train crews in the deployment and operation of an ARFF truck. Please note: The class fee of $1395.00 will not appear for the classes from June - October 2026 until April 2026!
This Advanced Recertification course will meet and exceed all requirements for annual live fire training (FAR 139). This course is designed to exceed all FAA requirements, while also incorporating more advanced skills into the training. All of the training found in the Basic Recertification Burn course are included, with the addition of Scenario Based training evolutions. Class Fee: $715.00 per person.
Students attending this course will complete training to meet all training requirements for annual live fire training (FAR 139.319). This course is designed to ensure all FAA requirements are met, while also providing a variety of fires and challenges to prepare Airport Firefighters for real world scenarios. Please note: The class fee of $450.00 will not appear for the classes from June - October 2026 until April 2026!
Provides students an opportunity to practice their skills deploying, positioning, and utilizing an HRET for aircraft incidents. The Oshkosh Snozzle is used during training. This training can be provided at your site, with your truck if requested.
Designed to meet the live fire training requirements for initial training as specified in FAR 139.319 as well as Advisory Circular 150/5210-17C (1.2.1). This training only provides live fire training, no other topics are covered. Please note: The class fee of $250.00 will not appear for the classes from June - October 2026 until April 2026!
